ASK YOUR ALDER TO SUPPORT THE CHICAGO SMALL BUSINESS BILL OF RIGHTS
Small businesses drive the Chicago economy, create jobs and support neighborhoods across the city. However, the Chicago small business community has faced a cascade of challenges, including new city rules and mandates. The recently passed Chicago budget also increased fees and fines, which will disproportionately impact small businesses.
We are thankful for the Alders that support small businesses and hope every Alderman/Alderwoman will champion The Chicago Small Business Bill of Rights!
If you are the constituent of a Chicago Alderman/Alderwoman, you can ask him/her to champion the Bill of Rights here! Fill out the form on this page to reach your Alder. It only takes a minute to make your voice heard! 📣

As a constituent and a strong supporter of the small business community, I ask that you endorse and champion the Chicago Small Business Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights will protect small businesses from excessive fines, penalties, and fees. The Bill of Rights will ensure that small businesses receive uniform and timely inspections and obtain permits in a fair and timely manner.
The Chicago Small Business Bill of Rights will also provide small business constituents with a transparent budgeting process, adequate time to review and debate substitute ordinances, the necessary time and resources to comply with new mandates, and reasonable notice and cure period preceding private causes of action.
Small local businesses create local jobs, revitalize neighborhoods, and drive regional economic growth. Thank you in advance for supporting the Chicago small business community by embracing the guiding principles outlined in the Chicago Bill of Rights.
