Hi! My name is Serena! I’ve been in the restaurant industry since I was 16, first as a server and food runner and then for the last 16 years as a bartender and bar manager (and greeter, and shift leader— the only thing I haven’t done is cook). I’m from upstate New York, I have a degree in screenwriting, and I have lived in Chicago for over 14 years.
I’ve worked at restaurants in NY, LA and Chicago— I started working at Bandera on Michigan Ave in 2007 and was there until Covid shut us down in March. My cocktail of choice is an Old Fashioned, I am bourbon girl through and through. I also drink a lot of red wine. I work for Bonphotage Photography as a lead wedding photographer, I live in Roscoe Village and I have a black cat named Felicia.
